About Primary Health Tasmania

Primary Health Tasmania is a non-government, not-for-profit organisation working to connect care and keep Tasmanians well and out of hospital. We are one of 31 primary health networks (PHNs) established nationally on 1 July 2015 as part of the Australian Government’s Primary Health Networks program.

Primary Health Tasmania operates statewide with offices in Hobart, Launceston and Ulverstone and have strong relationships with a broad range of private, public and community sector organisations across primary, acute, aged and social care. This puts us in good stead in our push for a coordinated, primary care-focused health system delivering the right care in the right place at the right time by the right people.

We are searching for a ‘Contracts Officer’ who can support and provide expertise in the preparation, negotiation and administration of contracts and the establishment, mobilisation and performance management of commissioned health service providers and related health programs.

You will use your strong interpersonal, negotiation and time management skills, have strong attention to detail and be able to demonstrate your ability to develop and to maintain strong stakeholder relationships.  You will also have proven ability to identify and mitigate risk. Skills in the aggregation and manipulation of complex data sets would be viewed favourably.

We are looking for individuals who have:

  • Demonstrated skills and experience in contract preparation, negotiation and performance management.
  • Demonstrated use and application of data analysis and presentation tools such as Excel, Power BI and QlikView.

What would you be doing?

You would be working on determining priorities, procedures and approaches that have a direct and significant effect on systems with Primary Health Tasmania and ultimately to better health outcomes for Tasmanians.
